The Keyhole Destination Metal Wall Art

The Keyhole Destination Metal Wall Art

A bold disc carries a keyhole cut-out, and through it you glimpse mountain peaks and a river winding into the distance. It hints that every stay unlocks a new place to explore.

The Keyhole Destination is an original design from The India Decor, cut from a single sheet of steel so the whole artwork hangs as one connected piece. It is made for hotels, resorts and homestays, and it is just as much at home in a living room, study or office.

The design story

The artwork shows a solid disc with a keyhole cut through it revealing mountains and a winding river. Every line was drawn to read clearly as a silhouette, so the scene stays recognisable from across the room and casts a soft shadow onto the wall behind it, adding depth through the day as the light changes.

• Keyhole view: mountains and a river framed inside a classic keyhole
• Solid disc: a heavy round field that makes the cut-out pop
• Bold, readable shapes: no fragile hair-thin parts, so the piece keeps its form at every size

Where it suits

Made for hotel lobbies, resort receptions, homestay entrances and travel lounges. Hang it behind a front desk or at the end of a corridor.

In hospitality, first impressions are made on the walls. This piece gives a lobby, corridor or guest room a calm focal point that photographs well for listings and social posts, and it pairs easily with wood, stone, cane and neutral upholstery. Use one large piece behind reception, or repeat smaller sizes along a corridor so each floor feels connected.

Popular spots include reception and lobby walls; guest room headboard walls; lounge and bar areas; and corridors and lift lobbies.

Material and finish

The piece is precision laser-cut from steel and finished in a matte black powder coat. The matte black tone gives a crisp contrast on white, cream, pastel, grey and wooden walls, and the powder coat resists fading and everyday scuffs far better than painted wood or printed canvas. It sits slightly off the wall for a light floating look.

Choosing a size

The Keyhole Destination comes in four square sizes: 18 x 18, 24 x 24, 32 x 32, 48 x 48 inch.

• 18 x 18 inch: a compact accent for a desk-side wall, a narrow pillar or a cosy corner
• 24 x 24 inch: fits above a side table, console or small counter
• 32 x 32 inch: a confident centrepiece above a sofa, bench or reception desk
• 48 x 48 inch: a true statement for large feature walls, lobbies and double-height spaces

As a rule of thumb, choose a width of about two-thirds of the furniture below it, and hang the centre of the artwork near eye level, around 57 to 60 inches from the floor.

Care

Dust it with a soft dry cloth. For marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. Avoid abrasive pads, polish and harsh chemicals so the powder coat keeps its even finish.
